Power 90! I’ve been keeping on schedule and I’m starting to see my weight drop a little (-4 pounds so far) as I’ve worked out 6 days a week and have cut some bad eating habits.
The workouts are slowly getting easier and easier. My chin has raised a bit, my belly bump is slowly going down, and I’m liking it.
I have two days of work under my belt at my new job, and so far, so good. I’ve been in a lot of meetings with Law Faculty / Staff and IMC Staff. I’m really liking the position so far, but I haven’t really done much work yet.
I should really bring some stuff into my office. All that is in my cube right now is a stapler, some post-it notes, a legal pad, and my computer. That’s depressing. It doesn’t help that my cube is in a corner, so almost no foot traffic goes behind my back.
That being said, I haven’t procrastinated at all. I’ve been so busy wrapping my head around all of the new faces and projects that I’ve had no time to keep up with anything outside of my job.
I think I’ll do my first bit of work tomorrow, as long as I have access to the CMS system.
I almost forgot, I wanted to talk about my strange findings on my Power 90 workout jams. In the DVD menu for the videos, you can select Music On or Off. For the first couple weeks I had the music on. I like music, and I though it would help keep me on beat with Tony Horton and the kids.
Truth be told, I do much better with the music off. It’s very repetitive. It’s very repetitive. See what I did there? But seriously, it’s very repetitive.
Also, during some of the tougher workouts, I smile or focus on a random object in the condo, like my light switch. It takes my mind off of my struggles.
I could be just imagining all of this, though, and I might just be getting better at the workouts, so now it doesn’t really matter what I do. Anyways, it seems like being distracted works well for me.
I still have a bit of flab and fat to burn, but I’m sure that will come with focusing on today, and not worrying about the future. As long as I eat right and exercise correctly today, tomorrow will come easier each week.
All right, it’s time for me to get some sleep.
I’ll keep you posted, and maybe upload some pictures of my weekly fitness photos when I can see some more evident changes in my physique. Maybe.
