Today marks the beginning of the next chapter of my life. College is over, and I recently was hired for a new job, and I’m taking the P90 challenge.

The new job will be Assistant director of Creative Services at the Valparaiso School of Law. The P90 challenge is the Power 90 workout. I started the first day today. It’s Monday, it made sense to me.

Anyways, I’m quite excited to finally have a job figured out. I was stressing out the past few weeks. Graduation from college drew nearer and no jobs I had applied for were getting in touch with me.

Luckily, I’m excited about working for the Law School and I can’t wait to not worry about living from paycheck to paycheck. The benefits of working at a University are really great, too. Two words: tuition remission.

I have gained about 30 pounds since my freshman year of college. I was a bit underweight when I started college, but I didn’t need to gain 30 pounds. I’m aiming to only build muscle with the P90 workout. If I lose some weight, that’s fine, but it’s not a goal of mine.

Speaking of goals, my goal is to complete the entire 90 days of the program, eat healthier, and to get in better shape. However, I’ve noticed that those are large goals. To better wrap my head around what I need to do, I’m only setting weekly goals.

For example, this week I’m aiming to workout 6 days this week. (That’s what the normal workout schedule is for P90.)

So I hope to improve my physical form, as well as fill out all of these forms to start my employment (and retirement fund, and health care plan, etc.)
